Professor Jay received her Ph.D. in 2015 and currently teaches an array of courses that examines Jewish studies through the lens of global history including Becoming Modern, the North African Jewish Experience, and Jews of the Americas. Her research focuses on the migrations of Jews from North Africa to Europe, Israel, and the United States. Dr. Jay has received several teaching awards including the Washington University Dean's Teaching Award and was most recently featured in the St. Louis-Post Dispatch for innovative online teaching.
