“The Judge” Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Join us for this special screening of the new documentary “The Judge” that tells the story of the Palestinian judge Khulud al-Faqih – the first woman to be appointed as a judge on a religious court anywhere in the Middle East.

The screening (81 min.) will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the film’s award-winning director, Erika Cohn, who will be joined by Washington University faculty members Tazeen Ali and Nancy Reynolds; David Warren will moderate the conversation. A reception with light refreshments will follow the discussion.

Sponsored by the Washington University in St. Louis Department of Jewish, Islamic, and Middle Eastern Studies and the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics.
